European Aluminium is looking for a Trainee Congress Coordination and Administration for a 4-5 month period

Our 80+ members include primary aluminium producers; downstream manufacturers of extruded, rolled and cast aluminium; producers of recycled aluminium and national aluminium associations are representing more than 600 plants in 30 European countries. Aluminium products are used in a wide range of markets, including automotive, transport, high-tech engineering, building, construction and packaging. (

Key Responsibilities

14th Recycling Congress administrative support

  • Support/back up of Recycling Assistant
  • Support in writing the monthly Congress newsletter/reminders
  • Monitoring and dispatching congress inbox mails
  • Follow up of external events agency tasks according to masterplan
  • Exchange of mails with suppliers and customers
  • Filing and keeping the internal drive up to date with all relevant information (version control)
  • Onsite support of the Congress in Manchester
  • Follow up and tracking of invoices prepared by events agency
  • Support of travel and information related to speakers/exhibitors
  • Support on internal powerpoint presentations and other publications
  • Update of recycling database
  • Other administrative tasks as requested by recycling team
  • Provide social media support, twitter, linked in etc.


  • Previous experience in Administration is a plus
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package
  • Proficient user of social media tools
  • Must be fluent in both written and spoken English, other languages a plus;
  • Willingness to travel
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and be flexible in his/her approach
  • Well-organized and precise, motivated, strong social skills, team spirit, flexible, creative
  • Self-starter, able to anticipate


  • Remuneration depending on experience (minimum 750€/month according to Belgian law) plus benefits (Lunch vouchers, travel reimbursement etc.)
