Job Description:

European House Initiative Association is seeking a dynamic intern to support our work on generating EU funds based in our Cluj-Napoca office. Working in close cooperation with our member groups across central and eastern Europe, the internship includes a variety of advocacy and operational tasks and is an unpaid position.

As a Business Development Intern you’ll be the support of the professionals team working at EHIA. This means that you need to love startups, you need to be focused on growth and objective-driven and that you will be doing a little bit of many different, inspiring and game-changing things. 

This is going to be a very interesting experience for your carrier. European House is currently in a very exciting moment, opening and setting up two new projects on the coming months and we are looking for a long term commitment and hiring our best interns.

Job Requirements:

  • Develop, execute and evaluate the firm’s global business development strategy; 
  • Work day-to-day with partner teams and their clients to develop stronger client relationships.
  • Working in Business Development you will be involved in pitching and presenting at boardroom level. This could include presentations to HR (Human Resources) departments and will require meticulous planning and proposal writing.
  • Your main area of focus will be to generate new leads with the aim of creating more sales.
  • A Business Developer will work on sales follow-up activities.
  • Maintaining customer relationships and ensuring customer loyalty through excellent customer service as well as meeting all client needs appropriate to their business, is a key role within Business Development
  • Business Developer usually works as part of a team and closely with other departments within the organisation.
  • Apply your commercial nous to research clients’ businesses and key market sectors.
  • Experience in a BD role within a professional services environment;
  • Highly organised, confident, articulate and able to build strong and successful relationships, both internally and externally;
  • Good people management and development skills;
  • Proven ability to work well as part of a team;
  • Good english language skill is a must.

Location: Cluj – Napoca, Romania

Hours of work: 6h/day from Monday to Friday

Internship duration: 3 – 6 months starting as soon as possible.
