URBAN DEVELOPMENT: BUILDING CITIES FOR ALL
The unprecedented rate of global urbanization, recognized within the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, brought new challenges for cities and global actors.
Almost 95 percent of mass urbanization is happening in developing countries and governments around the world, including the European Union, acknowledge the growing relevance of the urban dimension of their policies.
The question of safe, sustainable and inclusive housing solutions needs to be at the center of any sustainable urban policies.
How to combine quality policy making processes with innovative approaches from architecture, urban planning and technology? What are the best practices in place? How can Europe and Africa exchange knowledge and experience? The distinguished panelists will look for the answers together with the expert audience.
The panel discussion is a public launch of the international project titled Build Solid Ground, supported by the European Union.
