We have a new opportunity for a Junior EU Affairs Manager to join our team on a 1 year fixed term contract. The successful candidate will support the British Council’s efforts to win European Commission and other donors funding with a view to increasing our projects’ reach and impact and to establish contacts and build relations with relevant European Institutions and other donors institutions to increase the visibility of British Council work and lever co-operation and partnership.
What we require of the successful candidate:
- Understanding of EU Institutions and decision making procedures;
- Knowledge EC policies relevant for the British Council EU region;
- Thorough knowledge of the main EC funding programmes such as Horizon 2020, Erasmus+, Rights Equality and Citizenship, Creative Europe, COSME, Structural Funds;
- In depth understanding of the Project Management cycle, with specific knowledge of EU funding mechanisms;
- Capacity to adapt, being pro-active and flexible;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Fluent in English;
- Good IT skills.
