The pace of changes in business considerably affects entry-level professionals. Complexity of technological shifts particularly challenges newcomers coming out of education institutions, which are too theoretical and out of sync with the entrepreneurial world. To encourage more young people to become entrepreneurs, a stimulating eco-system is a necessity. The role of the university is critical to the birth of entrepreneurial ideas and growth of entrepreneurs.
Our policy session will address mainly these questions:
- How can universities create such environment?
- How can the academic environment help turn more of the excellent research into business?
- What lessons learned can be taken from successful university business incubators?
- And how shall external partners, including businesses themselves, contribute?
