Perspectives on Brexit in Central Europe
The goal of this event is to bring together key opinion formers and scholars from the United Kingdom, Slovakia and its Visegrad neighbors, in order to garner a closer understanding of likely shape of the UK’s relations with these countries into the future. Close attention will be paid, in particular, to how the UK’s exit will affect the V-4, how bilateral relations will be affected, likely goals of the V-4 in “Brexit” negotiations, and how current events should affect existing scholarly models of these countries’ engagement with the EU. Particular attention will be paid to the “four freedoms” and the future “Geopolitics” of the EU and its wider neighborhood.
